Nat Martin

Nat is a new tutor to Guitar Weekends, joining us at the beginning of 2026. He has worked with both Andy Moore and Jamie McCredie for many years and is highly respected as both a world class guitarist and educator. He is one of our top blues specialists and will be teaching face to face courses and online lessons. 

NAT MARTIN

Nat Martin is a musician specialising on guitar based in Hampshire, UK.

In his career to date, Nat has worked with a wide range of artists, bands and musicians including: Thomas Dolby, Living In a Box, Kenny Thomas, Jo Harman, Stevie Watts, Stefan Redtenbacher, Sam Barks, Katie Leone, Hollie Rogers, Laura Evans, Georgia Van Etten, Jade Like The Stone, Mim Grey, Saffron (Republica), Toyah Willcox, King Crimson’s Robert Fripp, Grammy award winner Mike Farris and Acid Jazz legends Galliano.

Nat’s heart lies with The Blues, but he expands on this palette within his own music to encompass a wider harmonic range by way of Jazz and Soul music, as well as the rhythmic elements of Funk.

In his work as a freelance musician, Nat is known for his versatility, where his playing abilities cover a wide range of contemporary styles. Nat is also an able reader of music. Nat’s album credits include:

ACM Guildford is a very familiar place to Nat; he has been a faculty member there for over 20 years and has taught at all levels from the part time and summer school programmes, right up to the HE courses.

Nat has worked extensively for Rock School, featuring on their Acoustic Guitar and Ukulele Syllabus as well as providing guitar for the keyboard and horns syllabus. Most recently Nat is delighted to feature on their Electric Guitar Syllabus for 2025.
