Play the Money Notes (Bass)

What notes would a bass player use to simply get the job done? What are the basics needed to get through a song? We discuss  the best practical approaches.

What will we be covering?

Professional bass players are called upon time and time again to play bass lines that make a song work, improve the groove and get the job done in as little as possible.

They do this by aiming for the ‘Money Notes’. Not just because they are getting paid (although this is a contributing factor), but because they work for the song and, of course, the chords that are being used.

This bass session looks at how you can play the ‘Money Notes’ and make sure all of your bass lines work equally well.

Who’s this session suitable for?

High Beginner to Intermediate  bass players.

This session might also be useful for lots of guitarists.
