In Part 2 of our free Promise guitar lesson, we develop Laufey’s beautiful piano-inspired accompaniment, moving from the simpler 3/4 arrangement into a more flowing 6/8 feel.

We’ll explore new chord voicings around the 3rd–5th frets, smoother voice leading and fingerpicking techniques that bring the arrangement closer to the original recording.

In this lesson, you’ll explore:

• Developing a flowing 6/8 accompaniment.
• New chord shapes and voicings.
• Using voice leading to connect chords smoothly.
• Creating a more expressive fingerstyle arrangement.
