Mrs Robinson

Strumming is a core technique for all guitar players. In this lesson we’ll be learning Simon & Garfunkel’s classic, Mrs Robinson.

The song is full of great fills, bass movement and ‘that intro’ ! But strumming technique and feel is everything.

What we’ll be covering

This is a driving rhythmic song by Simon & Garfunkel. It’s instantly recogniseable by it’s short intro.

It has a driving rhythm with some cool bass line movements and interesting chord progressions using standard chords.

It’s definitely a singalong strummer of a song. Great for beginner levels but enough in it to challenge intermediate level players.

We’ll be looking at the complete song, strumming hand techniques (including holding a plectrum) and keeping time.
