For level one, we'll be looking at the set-up you can do yourself to improve your instrument
while putting on a new set strings. It includes an
overall check, general clean-up, intonation and action
set-up and tightening sockets, pots, etc. truss rod adjustment, fret dressing and setting of the intonation.
These workshops will also give you the insight of how guitars are made and why they require to be set up for each individual.
It will give you the confidence to carry out your own set-up so the guitar feels right for you. This could save you money
if you own one or two or more guitars!!
Learn how to check the action and intonation and adjust the truss rod,
minimise fret buzzes, wind on new strings, check the
nut, saddle and bridge are all working correctly.
We cover what tools are required, what size of strings are best for your guitar.
We'll also check and adjust pick up heights as part of
the action set-up.
