With Chris
May of 'Overwater Guitars'.
Next available weekend to be 26th
October
2012 at Beckfoot Country House venue.
We will be limited to 4 students on this weekend. £425 for the full
residential weekend, all tools supplied.
We will be looking at the setting up you can do yourself to improve your instrument. Including truss rod adjustment, fret dressing and setting of the intonation.
These workshops will give you the insight of how guitars are made and why they require to be set up for each individual.
It will give you the confidence to carry out your own set-up so the guitar feels right for you. This could save you money as well.
Adjust the truss rod, dress the frets and get rid of any buzzes.
We cover what tools are required, what size of strings are best for your guitar.
What the pick up heights should be and what the action is all about.
All the players who have been on Chris's workshop have said that they were very impressed with the amount of information given and surprised that they could do so much themselves to change the feel and sound of their instrument.
At the end of the weekend a certificate will be presented to confirm that you have attended a course on Guitar Maintenance and setting up.
"Hi Malcolm,
Just wanted to say thanks for the weekend, it was brilliant! The
hotel is extremely comfortable, the food great and Chris's expertise a great
asset to the Guitar Weekends. I've started building up my tools and have a
few guitars to get started on.
Thanks again and hope to see you at the guitar show."
Cheers,
Pete.
