On this home recording course, we
cover the basic elements of recording your music onto your
home computer.
Essential requirements for the
home recording hardware and software. Have you got the
right sound card? We use Cubase 4 here.
DAW's
(digital audio workstation) and configuration explained.
How to get the computer up and
running and recording your material at home. What you
see on the screen and how to use it.
How to
work through a practical hands on project and make a
recording. This can be a song or an instrumental.
Microphones, types and uses.
Adding drums and bass and effects. Backing tracks.
Making use of sequencers on your home recording
projects.
Mastering your project onto a CD to
take away
This course is aimed at guitar
players both acoustic and electric.
A
straightforward and practical series
of workshops where the
emphasis will be on faithfully capturing and reproducing
the sounds you want within a modest budget and equipping
you with the knowledge and skill to do this.
We can also, time
permitting look at your playing and help with composing
skills.
