Eddie Allen,
Rock & Roll and getting a great sound
Eddie has been a good friend for many years. In fact he
was instrumental in me starting guitar weekends way back
in 1994. He was editor of 'Guitarist Magazine' at the
time before it all moved to Somerset and became part of
Future Publishing. At that time he was too busy to be a
tutor at Guitar Weekends but advised me and helped in
many ways to start up. Happily he can now join us to do
a weekend next July 2009.
Over the years Eddie has done many things from editing
guitar magazines, writing software, doing bespoke
repairing and setting up of guitars to demonstrating for
a multitude of companies including Fender. He has
regularly toured with Marty Wilde as well as having a
number of his own bands including the Wildcats. Over the
years he has been a regular player at the Cumbria Guitar
Show.
