| Gary Dunn is one of our Guitar Weekend tutors
who teaches at Shiney
Row college over in the North East. He is well versed in all aspects
of guitar playing and specialises in teaching struggling players and
getting them to play better. The sort of things we aim to cover on this 2
hour workshop are:
Gary does courses on our Guitar Weekends for up to 8 people in line
with Lin Flanagan's strugglers
weekend.
"I
am currently teaching full time at City of Sunderland College in the
popular music department where I first linked up with Rod Sinclair and
later with Jim Hornsby, both are guitar teachers on the Guitar Breaks
weekends. My teaching experience includes an eight year stint at Newcastle
College and various workshops in the community in Northumberland, fourteen
years at City of Sunderland College teaching on a wide range of courses
with different levels of qualification/ability. I am currently playing
with Martin Stephenson and The Daintees, a band I have been involved with
since 1985, playing an eclectic mix of styles and having recorded various
studio/live albums. My playing experience has included various T.V. and
Radio sessions and lots of gigs and festivals."
