Due
to the high level of interest, and I mean that most sincerely folks!
We’ve decided to put together a weekend for those who survived the
first one, and think they would like to come back for more. If you
managed to take some of the things on board from the last weekend
and feel as if you've progressed as a result, then this will be
right up your street. The chords, rhythms, finger picking, songs and
theory etc will all be deliberately more advanced, obviously, with
some small group arrangements for working in small groups (believe
it or not). As we only do one of these a
year they do fill up very quickly so if you are keen to learn more
you need to get booked.

Remember all the things
you did on the first Strugglers weekend. We will have a review of
them and then move forwards.
Make a start at reading
the dots (Music).
Develop an understanding
of how to read time and phrasing from the music.
More
ideas about, soloing and improvisation
using pentatonic scales and blues scales.
How to work out and
learn the chords for particular tunes or songs.
Playing in different
keys and transposing between them.
Plenty of chances to have a
jam with other like minded players.
Work out a piece to play
within a small group of you and perform it.
This is again
a very practical hands
on weekend with lots of playing.
We will work through plenty of Tunes (songs
and instrumentals) in varied styles such as Rock, Blues and Country.
A chance for
one next level struggling
'Bass player'
to join us as well.

Do have
a look at our companion weekend with Gary Dunn
