I have a
Maintenance Weekend
planned for the 21st of May and a
Maintenance Two
(next level)
weekend planned for the 9th of April. This is for
those who have already done
Maintenance One.
I also have a
Home Recording weekend on the 26th of March with
Jan
beck this will give an opportunity for home players
to get acquainted with recording their music onto PC
(or Mac if using one). This is for maximum 4 people
and also includes recording your own material such
as songs or backing tracks. Jan is a multi
instrumentalist and has managed and organised
recording studios as well as performing and writing
his own material.
There is still of lot of you
out there who are unsure about coming on a weekend.
Maybe think your not up to it or worried about
playing in front of other more proficient players.
These weekend are for the more mature hobby home
player who is a little nervous. As well as improving
your playing we help to build your confidence and
motivate you to do the exercises and practice
routines that will bring your playing on. We have
been doing it now since 1994, over 16 years. Rod
Sinclair who tutors the Blues weekends has been with
us since the start. Other tutors like Lin Flanagan
and Gary Dunn have joined along the way as we
realised there was a big requirement for a back to
basic approach as many home players tend to jump
over a lot of the elementary theory and practices in
their hurry to learn more complicated tunes. Once
this core elementary material is learnt, (and it's
not rocket science) your playing can improve in
leaps and bounds. Whether it's Blues, Rock, Country
or Jazz your trying to play. That's why it's always
a good idea to do the Strugglers or Improvers
weekends first. Both these weekends are our entry
level courses and include those essential elements:-
Timing, Rhythm, Strumming, Scales, Soloing and
playing in different keys and chord progressions. So
don't delay, take me up on the above offer and start
on the path to being a far better player. |
